Star Wars Character Test: Which Star Wars Character Are You?

The Star Wars galaxy has endured for decades not because of its lightsaber duels or starship chases, but because of its characters. A handful of heroes, mentors, and villains so different from each other that almost every viewer ends up recognizing themselves in one of them. Some run on courage, others on cool calculation, others on wordless loyalty. That is why the question of which Star Wars character you are never goes stale.

This test does not measure your command of the Force or your aim with a blaster. It explores your character: what drives you to act, how you respond when things go sideways, what role you tend to take in a group, and what you stay true to when everything gets complicated. Based on your answers, it works out which figure from the classic trilogy fits you best — from the idealism of a young farm boy to the relentless discipline of the one who commands the dark side.

Answer the sixteen questions below honestly. Do not pick the character you wish you were; choose the option that describes how you actually behave day to day. When you finish, you will know which character represents you, a detailed description of what that says about you, and why the galaxy would have reserved that spot for you.

How this character test works

The test works by character affinity: each option you choose adds points to one or two characters depending on the trait it reflects. The questions explore qualities such as courage, leadership, wit, serenity, sense of duty, and hunger for power, spread evenly so that any of the eight main characters can come out on top. When you finish, all points are tallied and your result is the character with the highest score. If two land very close together, it means you share traits of both — which is perfectly normal: almost nobody fits entirely into a single figure.

Characters you can get

Luke Skywalker

If you got Luke, you are an idealist who looks to the horizon and believes things can be better. You started out feeling small, with the sense that life was happening far away from you, and that left you with a burning desire to go out, learn, and prove what you are made of. Hope moves you more than calculation: you trust people even when others have long written them off. You are brave without being reckless, loyal to those who shaped you, and able to see a spark of goodness where everyone else sees a lost cause. Your faith that good will eventually find its way is your greatest strength.

Leia Organa

If you got Leia, you are someone who takes charge without asking permission and keeps calm when everything around you is falling apart. You have a sense of justice that is non-negotiable and the determination to defend it even when it costs you dearly. You do not wait to be rescued: you would rather organize the escape yourself and pull the group along when it falters. Beneath that firmness lives someone who feels deeply and fiercely protects those close to them, even if they rarely say so in soft words. You lead with both your head and your heart, and that combination is what makes people follow you.

Han Solo

If you got Han, you are independent, resourceful, and always ready with a comeback. You like going your own way and distrust grand speeches; you prefer to solve problems on the fly, with cleverness and a dash of audacity. You act like you only look out for yourself, but those who know you well know that when it really matters, you are the first to double back and help out. Your sarcasm is armour hiding someone far more loyal than you would ever admit. You know how to improvise under pressure and come out looking good in situations that would make anyone else hesitate.

Yoda

If you got Yoda, you are a calm and reflective person who sees further than most. You do not get swept up by rushing or by the first feeling that hits: you prefer to observe, wait for the right moment, and understand the root of things before acting. You have learned that patience is a form of strength and that the most valuable answers are rarely the loudest ones. People come to you for advice because you know how to listen and return a perspective that brings order to chaos. Your calm is not indifference; it is the wisdom of someone who has seen a great deal and knows what truly matters.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

If you got Obi-Wan, you are a person of firm principles and a strong sense of duty. You take your responsibilities seriously and do what is right even when no one thanks you for it and even when it demands sacrifice. You carry a quiet authority that puts people at ease: they trust you because you keep a cool head and keep your word. You enjoy teaching and guiding others, and you genuinely care about the growth of those who depend on you. Beneath your composure there is a dry wit and a warmth that needs no fanfare. Steadiness and integrity are how you hold things together.

Darth Vader

If you got Vader, you are an intense, disciplined person with a determination that commands respect. When you set your mind to something, you pursue it without wavering and rarely accept no for an answer. You are drawn to control: you prefer environments where the rules are clear and everything is in its place, and you do not hesitate when it comes to making hard calls. That strength of will is your greatest virtue and, at the same time, your greatest challenge, because pushing yourself so hard can take a toll. Even in the role of someone who inspires fear, a very human conflict pulses underneath, and the possibility of redemption is always there. Your presence does not go unnoticed.

Chewbacca

If you got Chewbacca, you are pure loyalty in the shape of an unbreakable friend. You are not drawn to the spotlight or grand statements: what you do is show up when you are needed and put yourself on the line for the people you love. You have a quiet, protective strength and a heart far bigger than your appearance lets on. You are noble, warm with those close to you, and the kind of dependable companion everyone wants by their side in a rough moment. You do have a temper when something strikes you as unfair, but it passes quickly. Your unconditional loyalty is worth more than a thousand promises.

R2-D2

If you got R2-D2, you are the type of person who solves things quietly and ends up being indispensable. While others are still arguing, you are already working on the fix, and you often save the day before anyone notices how close things came to going wrong. You are resourceful, inventive, and brave in your own way: you get into trouble because you want to help, and you rarely ask for recognition in return. You have a spirited personality, a touch mischievous, and enormous loyalty toward your small inner circle. You do not need grand speeches to prove your worth — you prove it by doing.

Frequently asked questions about the character test

How many questions does the Star Wars character test have?

The test has sixteen short multiple-choice questions. Each one explores a different personality trait and takes only a few minutes to answer. The more honestly you respond, the more accurately the result will reflect who you are.

Which characters can appear in the result?

You can get Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, or R2-D2. These are eight figures from the classic trilogy, chosen because they represent very different ways of being: idealism, leadership, wit, wisdom, duty, ambition, loyalty, and resourcefulness.

How is it decided which character I get?

Each option you choose adds points to one or two characters depending on the trait it reflects. When you finish, all the points are added up and your result is the character with the highest score. The options are distributed evenly so that any of the eight can come out on top.

Can I resemble more than one character?

Yes, that is completely normal. The test assigns you a primary character, but it is common to end up close to a second one. That means you share traits with both — which is natural: almost nobody fits one hundred percent into a single figure. The one with the most points is the one that defines you best overall.

Can my result change if I take the test again?

It may vary slightly if you answer differently, because the test is based on how you describe yourself at that moment. If you answer honestly, the result tends to be fairly stable. Small shifts between attempts usually mean you have traits in common with two very similar characters.

Is this test official?

No. It is an entertainment test created by fans of the saga, with no connection to its creators or any official brand. Its purpose is to have fun and offer a lighthearted portrait of your personality inspired by the Star Wars universe.
