Which Toy Story Character Are You? | Quiz

Few film crews have earned as much genuine affection as the gang from Toy Story. Every toy in the room carries a distinct personality: the leader who shoulders everyone's weight, the hero who charges ahead without flinching, the friend who brings the spark, or the newcomer who questions everything. That's why fans don't just wonder which toy they'd pick off the shelf — they wonder which one actually thinks the way they do.

This quiz doesn't test how well you know the movies; it reflects how you move through the world. Based on your answers, it works out which Toy Story character fits you best: what you value, how you handle things when they go sideways, what role you tend to play in your group, and what you're really after. No character here is better than another — each has its own charm and its own way of keeping the team together.

Answer all sixteen questions as honestly as you can. Don't pick the character you wish you were — go with how you actually behave in everyday life. When you're done, you'll find out who you are, along with a detailed portrait of what that says about you and why the two of you fit so well.

How this character test works

The quiz works on a character-affinity model: each answer you choose adds points to one or two of the main characters based on the trait it reflects. The questions cover things like loyalty, courage, sense of humor, energy levels, and how you handle change, spread evenly so any of the eight characters can come out on top. When you finish, all the points are tallied and your result is the character with the highest score. If two are neck and neck, it means you share traits with both — which is more common than you might think.

Characters you can get

Woody

If you got Woody, you're the one who keeps everything from falling apart. You have a powerful sense of responsibility and take caring for the people around you very seriously — when someone needs to step up, take charge, or calm things down, that someone is you. Your loyalty runs deep and you'd do just about anything for your crew. That same dedication has a flip side: letting go of control doesn't come easily, and change tends to unsettle you more than you let on. But when it really matters, you're the steady voice that reminds everyone what holds them together.

Buzz Lightyear

If you got Buzz Lightyear, you go straight at things without hesitation. You have an unshakable sense of purpose and a drive to always push a little further. Where others stall, you're already moving, convinced that more is always possible. That confidence is genuinely inspiring to the people around you, even if it sometimes leads you to take on more than one person can handle. You learn fast, and once you find your real footing in the world, that boldness becomes something even more solid. Quitting is simply not part of your plan.

Jessie

If you got Jessie, you are pure, unfiltered enthusiasm. You move through life with contagious energy, always ready for the next adventure and happy to lift anyone who needs it. You give everything to the people you love and feel other people's emotions almost as strongly as your own. Beneath all that brightness is a real tenderness: you know what it's like to be left behind, and that's precisely why you treasure the ones who stay. You're free-spirited, brave, and fiercely loyal — and your spark can turn a rough day around for an entire group.

Rex

If you got Rex, you have one of the biggest hearts in the room and nerves that are always close to the surface. You worry about everything and hold yourself to high standards, convinced you'll fall short right when it matters most. And yet there you are, every single time — pitching in even when your hands are shaking, because the fear is beside the point. You're kind, honest, and perfectly able to laugh at your own stumbles. People love you for exactly that: underneath all the anxiety lives someone who never lets anyone down.

Hamm

If you got Hamm, you're the sharpest wit in the group. You take everything in from the sidelines and always have the perfect comment ready — dry, a little ironic, and timed just right to get a smile out of everyone. You're smart, practical, and have no patience for drama: you'd rather see things coming and find the sensible solution than get swept up in the chaos. That world-weary skeptic act doesn't fool anyone who knows you well. Behind the sarcasm is someone who shows up when it counts and looks out for the people they care about, quietly and without any fuss.

Mr. Potato Head

If you got Mr. Potato Head, you're prickly on the outside and soft on the inside. You say what you think without dressing it up, you grumble out of habit, and you have zero tolerance for other people's carelessness. But all that bluster covers someone who is deeply, stubbornly loyal — especially to the people closest to you, for whom you'd go to any lengths. You like things the way they are and you're suspicious of anything new until it proves itself. Whoever puts up with your grumbling quickly discovers that your heart is enormous and your affection doesn't need an audience.

Slinky

If you got Slinky, you are loyalty made real. You're always there, quietly and without asking for anything back, and you treat friendship as a commitment that needs no discussion. You have endless patience and a natural gift for smoothing things over and keeping the peace when everyone else is losing their cool. You trust people and you'd rather build a bridge than start a fight. That calm, steady loyalty makes you the teammate everyone wants by their side — the one who's still there when everyone else has gone.

Forky

If you got Forky, you look at the world with completely fresh eyes. Everything surprises you, everything raises a question, and you sometimes genuinely struggle to understand why things are the way they are. You're still finding your footing and figuring out who you are and where you belong, which leads to the occasional bout of existential overload. But that unfiltered curiosity is also your greatest gift: you notice things that everyone else has stopped seeing, and you ask the questions no one else dares to. You're wide-eyed, endearing, and — without even trying — you land on truths that leave everyone else quietly thinking.

Frequently asked questions about the character test

How many questions does the Toy Story quiz have?

The quiz has sixteen short questions, each with four options. Each one explores a different aspect of your personality and takes just a few minutes to answer. The more honest you are, the more accurately the result will reflect who you actually are.

How does the quiz decide which Toy Story character I am?

Each answer you pick adds points to one or two characters based on the trait it reflects. Once you finish, all the points are added up and your result is the character with the highest total. The options are balanced so any of the eight characters has a real chance of coming out on top.

Which characters can I get?

You can get Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, Hamm, Mr. Potato Head, Slinky, or Forky. Each one represents a distinct way of approaching friendship, challenges, and change, so there's room for very different kinds of people.

Can I be similar to more than one character?

It's very common to end up close to a second character as well. That just means you share traits with both — which is perfectly normal, since almost no one fits entirely into a single description. The one with the most points is the best overall match, but the runner-up says a lot about you too.

Will I get a different result if I retake the quiz?

It can vary slightly if you answer differently, since it's based on how you describe yourself in that moment. If you answer honestly, the result tends to stay fairly consistent. Small variations between attempts usually mean you have strong traits from two similar characters.

Is this an official Toy Story quiz?

No. This is a fan-made entertainment quiz with no connection to the filmmakers or any official brand. Its goal is to be fun and offer a lighthearted portrait of your personality inspired by the characters from the franchise.
